New Tom Cruise Movie VALKYRIE Featurette Online
There is a newly released featurette of Tom Cruise’s new movie, Valkyrie, over at Apple trailers. This one is directed by one of the better directors of our time, Bryan Singer (X-Men, Usual Suspects). The supporting cast appears to be full of talented veterans such as Kenneth Branagh, Tom Wilkinson, and Bill Nighy. The featurette has quite a bit of content and interviews so be sure to check it out. The film is planned to be released in June 2008.

G.I. JOE Movie Coming Soon and Cartoon Based Movies
Well there has been a lot of buzz about the G.I. Joe live action movie. IGN Movies has an article talking about Hasbro releasing some details. Are these details just rumors or not? Maybe so, but I doubt with the huge success of movies like Transformers, I wouldn’t be surprised if more movies based on cartoons start coming out more often in the near future. I’m not sure if this is going to turn out very good but we can only hope for the best.

AMERICAN GANGSTER Movie Review
Cast: Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Josh Brolin
Director: Ridley Scott
Once again Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott team up but this time add Denzel Washington into the mix for a based on true story film about the gangster Frank Lucas.
Frank Lucas starts from the ground up and builds an empire of drug dealing. Richie Roberts (Crowe) is an honest and stand up guy (at least while he’s working), trying to bring down the drugs on the streets as well as the corruption within the system.
Both Washington and Crowe give great performances, as they usually always do. The movie is very interesting especially since I didn’t know about some of the facts involved and hadn’t heard too much of Frank Lucas’ life story. The movie starts off good and keeps us interested for the most part. This movie has a lot of the same old cop and gangster elements to it. Director, Ridley Scott, seems to stick to the formula of these types of movies, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The film as it goes through the motions seems a little long, but it is ultimately saved by the two leading performances.
So if you are a fan of real stories, Washington, and/or Crowe, I recommend you take a look at this when you get a chance.
