New Tom Cruise Movie VALKYRIE Featurette Online
There is a newly released featurette of Tom Cruise’s new movie, Valkyrie, over at Apple trailers. This one is directed by one of the better directors of our time, Bryan Singer (X-Men, Usual Suspects). The supporting cast appears to be full of talented veterans such as Kenneth Branagh, Tom Wilkinson, and Bill Nighy. The featurette has quite a bit of content and interviews so be sure to check it out. The film is planned to be released in June 2008.

Naturally, this caused a bit of an uproar in Germany, and I also think there was a bit of something regarding Cruise being a Scientologist, etc., etc., but here in Austria, we don’t make such a big deal. After watching the trailer, all I can say is … WHEN do tickets go on sale?

I want to like this movie, but Tom Cruise irks me the wrong way. However, Brian Singer is the man! I love what he did for the X-Man Franchise, and feel he can make this movie the hit it deserves to be.

I just cant watch a movie with Tom Cruise without thinking about his inane craziness. Its distracting from getting into a good movie.

Well, I don’t really like Tom Cruise, but this movie might actually be pretty good. Especially since Brian Singer is directing it. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

I found the clip intriguing. I am curious to know how accurate the movie is. I know there are a lot of good people in Germany, I just have never seen that side of it because of all the bad that Hitler did.

I am excited to see this movie as well. It’s funny because Tom Cruise can do a really good job acting in serious roles but his personal life seems to be in shambles. If you’ve watched his interview on youtube about Scientology you’ll know what I’m referring to. Hopefully TC does a good job at playing this role—guess I’ll find out when I see it!

I must admit the whole crazy scientology thing has put me off Tom’s movies. Loved him in Vanilla Sky. Guess i’ll wait for some more reviews nearer the time of release.

Whether the movie is good or not, the acting of Tom Cruise just boosts its ratings and ususally turns out to be a good movie.

I dont think this movie will make it out in the US. I have been doing some research and I havent been able to find anything that gives a release date. Maybe that accent really was to bad.

I found Valkyrie to be an excellent movie. If I had to sum up, I would say that what distinguish this movie from other big productions is the atmosphere. It really felt like I was into a different historical frame and a different country.
Of course I was not there at the time, but I thing the historical reconstitution, costumes, military protocols, vehicles, events, etc were perfect. Tom plays a rather unusual role for him and he was great.

I was avoiding watching this movie but I’m glad I did. It was really good.
