Gone Baby Gone DVD Released

Posted in Upcoming DVD Releases, DVD Recommendations by Popcorn Ninja on the February 13th, 2008

So if you haven’t read my review or seen this movie already I’ll bring up that the Gone Baby Gone DVD was released on Tuesday. I think this movie was overlooked for this award season. If you are looking for a good crime drama this one is not to be missed and I agree with others that you won’t stop discussing this film. Definitely one of the best films of the year.
Other movies that were released this past Tuesday -

  • No Reservations with Catherine Zeta-Jones
  • We Own The Night with Mark Wahlberg and Joaquin Phoenix

Stay tuned for more DVD releases and Movie Reviews. Thanks for stopping by!

Gone Baby Gone? I have never even heard of this movie but that probably has something to do with me living in the UK. I will have a browse around the dvd store’s to see if I can get a copy the crime genre is my favourite.

I was very dissapointed with We Own the Night though, I expected more from the all star cast!

I heard a lot about this movie from my friends by missed it in the cinemas. Now i’m going to see it on DVD. So thanks for review.
As i know there 2 Afflecks who worked on this film - Ben as a screenplay writer and Casey as an actor. Great, i also found in the cast list Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris.
Can’t wait to watch this film!

I was actually really surprised at Affleck and his acting. He then proved himself again in The Assassination of Jesse James - go figure!

Unreal that Affleck has turned into the actor he has. Boatloads of talent over his brother right now - he just needs to pick the right movies.

I recently saw this amazing movie with my wife + her folks, and I must say it created a pretty interesting debate between us. I like this type of movies; they force you to re-think what’s important in life and how egos can take over our lives often times. Take a look at it and have fun discussing it afterwards.

This is film to watch, you cannot miss it. I have seen this film eight times now and you cannot get bored with it. Lets face it, there is nothing on TV now a days so a good film is always welcomed

Yeah, I think the creator of this film should care about it advertising on TV and mass media better. Even with Ben Afflek there willbe no result!

Gone Baby Gone is a movie with a twist not revealed until the end, but what makes it one of those movies that you’ll watch repeatedly is the gritty street scenes and fine supporting acting from serious actors like Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman, and Amy Madigan. You’ll see real people living in Boston, no car chases or other stupidity, and a mystery movie that basically turns out to be a human relationship picture. I have to admit also that Michelle Monaghan is enchanting as Casey Affleck’s girlfriend and business partner. I bought this on iTunes and watch it often.
