THE HAPPENING The Movie Trailer Online
M. Night Shyamalan’s THE HAPPENING the movie trailer hits the web. This will be the latest from the director of Sixth Sense and Signs. Recently Shyamalan’s work has been criticized for not being very good with THE VILLAGE and LADY IN THE WATER. I personally think he is very talented regardless of his last two outings not being very great.
This one stars Mark Wahlberg and is set to be released on June 13, 2008.
I’m a big fan of SIGNS and UNBREAKABLE, so hopefully with this new movie he’ll get back into his groove. Check out THE HAPPENING trailer at Apple - click here.

After the Six Sence I am ready to forgive Shyamalan for all of his deadly sins!! )
And having Mark Wahlberg in the movie is really good idea! I liked him in the Depated very much (especially the way he treated everyone with words)).
Do you know that he is going to play Max Payne?? That will be really great to see!

I’m sorry but watching the village has put me off anything from the Shyamalan camp for quite a while. This will have to have a big impact before I’m willing to go and see it.

Yeah. The Village sucked and a lot of people will have to hype this new movie before I watch it. I’ve gotten tired of trying to guess his twist endings.

The Village may have sucked but Marky Mark is the silent super star. Does he even do bad movies these days?
on February 25th, 2008 at 4:26 am
Hmmm Marky Mark is definately the business these days. I don’t think i’ve seen a bad movie from in for quite some time.
on February 26th, 2008 at 9:15 am
I have to try it on!
on February 28th, 2008 at 8:05 pm
I am very interested in seeing this just cause Marky Mark is in it. Personally i thought The Village was horrible and i wont even start on Signs. That was just beyond anything i was hoping for. Unbreakable was an awesome movie though. Im willing to check this out

I think you blog too little as it is.

Did you ever see the South Park that makes fun of M. Night and Michael Bay? It is great and spot on. I cannot help but think of what crazy twist he will put on The Happening. It will probably end up being a dream dreamed by someone in the year 1408 who wakes up and wonders what it all means. Although I do like Marky-Mark and maybe hell be good. I guess we will just have to see.
Cheers.

I agree that The Village sucked. I didn’t see Lady in the Water. But, I think I’d give this one a try.

i dont understand, whats wrong with that
on April 18th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
I liked all of his movies. Everyone expects all of his work to be identical shockers. Exactly what was wrong with lady in the water? That it wasn’t a ground breaking innovator like Sixth Sense? It was based on the stories he told before bedtime after all

I love mark walhberg! I’m going to watch this movie but i hope it doesnt dissapoint.

I’m really impressed by a trailer and looking forward to watch this film at the cinema. I think M. Night Shyamalan is genius. As for The Village, Lady in the Water of course they were not quiet as Signs or The Six Sense but however i enjoyed them too. M. Night Shyamalan is one of the most talented in the movie business now. I like his phrase: “The idea is to always go for the thing that’s risky. I want to be courageous and original. And original means, you don’t know what ‘colour’ movie you just saw.”

I am a big fan of MNS’ movies - all of them! This guy brings so much to the screen. His movies are like paintings. Each one touches viewers in a special way that is unique to the viewer.
Remember - a critic is only one viewer. He/she is giving only one aspect of the experience.
Lady In The Water was especially moving to me and my wife. It touched us in different ways and we have seen it several times.
I expect The Happening to be no less thrilling.

I have high hopes. Sure Lady in the Water was a bit of a setback but M. Night is still M. Night and anything he touches will be decent at the very least and possibly even magnificent.

Finally saw a trailer for this at the weekend, its looks pretty good. I’ll give that a viewing when it comes out.

Major Hint for the film:
It’s like an updated, modern version of “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes”

The trailer hooked me up - this just has to be a “must see” movie!!! Hope Mr. M. Night is back on track again after “The Village” and “Lady in the Water”…. If not, I’ll make him see dead peaple without Bruce to help him ;o)
on June 19th, 2008 at 11:39 am
I don’t know whether I am going to watch this movie. Shyamalan’s movie are generally too much hyped with little substance or thrill.

Another great article. Looking forward to more.

Lady in the water really bombed for me. The fact that I saw The Happening got less than a 10% on a pretty well known review site kind of made me decide not to even bother. Anyone see if finally and enjoy it?
on July 17th, 2008 at 3:58 am
I didn´t like the ending too much.

Lady in the water is just ok for me, when I saw the trailer I told myself to watch that movie once it’s out, and yeah I am hoping that the happening will be better.
on September 26th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Thanks for the ratings guys. I have been pondering watching this movie and wasnt to sure if i was going to. After reading some of these reviews it seems like a movie I will be interested in.
on September 26th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
Lets take M. Night Shyamalan out of his cool car and put him on a pocket bike for a while for making this moving.LOL. I bet we would see some funny pocket bike crashes if we did that. LOL

I had a chance to see this movie before it came out. I must say that i really enjoyed it. Marky Mark is great in this movie. It seems like he is just killin every movie he has been in lately. Go check it out…
on October 12th, 2008 at 3:52 am
I also watched this movie and Marky Mark was really great.

even if you don’t like shyamalan’s movies, he has managed to carve out a niche in movie making that is all his own. and that is all too rare these days. he deserves our praise!
on June 16th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
Unfortunately for M. Night Shyamalan, his latest movie wasn’t quite up to Six Sense standards either. I don’t quite think it makes it as his true comeback film. I believe he is still at that pit, and has yet to climb it. As for Wahlberg, I don’t believe he was the right man for his role. He is a great actor overall of course, but I just couldn’t connect with the role he played as, the nice guy , the goofy science teacher, mainly because he has always played the badass.
