Johnny Depp in PUBLIC ENEMIES Trailer Online
Johnny Depp and Christian Bale are the stars of the upcoming movie PUBLIC ENEMIES. The trailer is now online at Apple Trailers - HERE.
It is directed by one of my favorite directors, Michael Mann. I’ve loved all but one of his films (Miami Vice) that he has done in the past. He is one of the best directors when it comes to Action/Crime/Drama types of films. Whether it’s action focusing on a bank robbery in Los Angeles (Heat) or the dialog between a taxi driver and a hitman (Collateral), Mann is top notch.
The film will open on July 1, 2009 and is Rated R for gangster violence and some language.

there aren’t really any movies that make me want to go through the horrifying experience of the theater, but this seems on par with the dark knight and terminator salvation, so i might be able to bare it. looks really long…

depp has been on my radar even since fear and loathing in las vegas. the way he holds himself on screen is awesome. he’s got the coolness that isn’t easily met. bale doesn’t have the coolness. not only does he have the coolness, but he also is concentrated and cold. he knows what he has to do to make the scene and he nails it consistantly.

Johnny Depp and Christian Bale are two of the finest actors going. And Michael Mann producing? People don’t talk much about Collateral, but it rocked. And did anyone see Christian Bale in The Machinist? Talk about going to great lengths to do a role…he practically became anorexic. This should be a great movie!

This movie looks great! I live in Chicago right down the street from where they filmed some of the movie and they changed a whole block’s worth of storefronts to look like they were right out of 1930’s. It was really awesome.

I got my degree from the University of Wisconsin and parts of this movie were filmed in Oshkosh, WI. I have a friend who lives there while taking care of her mom and she waited outside the set to get photos of him. She said Johnny was really gracious and signed lots of autographs and talked to his fans. She emailed me photos of him - if I can find where I saved them.

Mann might be able to do wonders but I doubt Depp fits into a mainstream gangster movie - even though all the hats are pretty cool. Depp is a bit too loose to break ground as a action character.

Just watched the trailer again and am still so excited for this movie. It looks like it is going to be great. It reminds me a little of road to Perdition with Tom Hanks. I saw the film on the Weekend and have to say I was pleasantly surprised, Christian Bale was good but Johnny Depp made the film very enjoyable. I don’t know much about the story of the actual character his role is based on but he was very likeable even though he was a bank robber. Very worth while watching on the big screen.
