New SHERLOCK HOLMES Trailer at Apple Trailers
The new Sherlock Holmes trailer at Apple trailers shows us some of the first footage starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie (Snatch).
The Sherlock Holmes trailer premeired before Terminator Salvation at many of the theaters across the US. Robert Downey Jr., who I think is one of the most talented actors around today, will star as Sherlock Holmes. While Jude Law will play the Watson role. The film also stars Rachel McAdams.
It will be opening up this Christmas. Hopefully it will be a great holiday film.

This movie looks awesome! Robert Downey Jr seems like a superb actor to portray a super-intellect with a substance abuse problem (which he did so well in Iron Man).

I’m not sure Jude Law could do the Watson role well. He’s an okay actor but the character just doesn’t seem to fit his style. Certainly not from what I’ve seen anyway.

I Have read a few of the Sherlock Holmes tales, the speckled band and the redheaded league. They were both enjoyable. Holmes comes off as a bit cocky and unnecessarily theatrical (always whipping out the magnifying lens) but Watson is the clueless guy we can relate to. Its surprising really, considering Watson is the doctor. I am sure this will prove to be an interesting movie It might be a dud, and it might be quite good.. we will just have to see

after watching the trailer again, i think this movie might have something here. robert downey jr, is great. not to mention the idea of a character like sherlock holms. i’m going to keep watching for this one. it might be really good if it’s pulled off correctly.

It has a “Van Helsing” kind of feel to it, with the technology involved. Should be good, though.

As a big fan of original stories, my initial response is that it will be a much more in-your-face version of beloved character. Holmes is a competent boxer and is the decent with a revolver in the older stories, but these facts are hardly celebrated and the movie looks like it will place action in the foreground, perhaps even over the mystery elements.

Robert Downey Jr. is one of the most talented actors in Holywood and I admire his role choice. He is lately playing in blockbusters but hes past roles are great. Nowadays he is just more recognizable, but still as great as he was

This trailer is great since it showed in a gist the film highlights. This movie is one of those I really look forward to—with two of the biggest actors like Robert Downey, Jr and Judd Law together. Seldom does a film show a tandem of a seasoned actor and a new, promising one. This is really something that every movie addict will find worthwhile to watch!
